Dear all,
I hope this message finds you well and that you all had a wonderful winter break with your loved ones. On behalf of the entire school team, I would like to extend a warm welcome back to all our students, staff, and families. I wish you all a happy new year filled with happiness, success, and good health.
Over the break, our school hall floor, which was damaged by flooding, was finally replaced. I'm pleased to report that it's looking fantastic. Our class teams have been busy making good use of the space in preparation for the upcoming Chinese New Year Show. Keep an eye out for more information about A Journey to Hong Kong early next week - we're excited to showcase our students' talent and hard work, and we hope to see all parents at the show.
JCSRS team is taking part in the charity ‘Weez Walk’ on the 20th of January. Please read on to find out how you can participate and support the team.
Our first Principal Meet-Up of the year will take place on the 23rd of January at 9 am at school. I will give an update on the school renovation project. This is an excellent opportunity for parents to come together, meet with me, and share their thoughts and ideas about the school.
As always, we appreciate your ongoing support and involvement in our school community. We hope to see you at these upcoming events and wish everyone a successful and fulfilling start to the new year.
Best regards,
Anna

What next after JCSRS?
For families of students in Year 10 and above, please check your messages next week for sign-up information.
On Saturday, 20th January, JCSRS have a team of seven people taking part in the 2024 Weez Walk to raise money for suicide prevention and positive mental health in young people. The walk is organised by the family of Jamie Bruno, a talented ESF student who tragically took his own life at the age of 15.
David, Max, Ronny, Liezel, Ted, Novia and her daughter Maya will be walking 60km around Hong Kong Island to raise awareness and money for KELY Support Group - an organisation that supports young people with their mental health.
The team would love to invite any students and their families who are free on Saturday morning and are interested in taking part to join them for the section of the route between Ocean Park and Repulse Bay. The team will then continue around the Island, and the JCSRS community walkers can enjoy a social get-together in Repulse Bay. We anticipate the team arriving at Ocean Park between 9 and 10 am. More details will be confirmed next week.
If you are unable to join the team but would like to contribute a donation to this fantastic cause, then the fundraising page can be accessed here: JCSRS Trailhoppers.
