Dear all,
It was a big week at JCSRS with the graduation ceremony for Leo, Rehaan and Maurice. It was a real honour to express my pride in their learning journeys and congratulate them on their achievements over the last 13 to 14 years at JCSRS. The last three years of our graduates' education were anything but smooth. It is thanks to our school community’s shared purpose and commitment to the vision for every student to be the best that they can be that we were able to move past the challenges to make sure that our graduates are ready for the next step in their lives.
I would also like to thank our student council and our staff, especially Jackie and her team, for making the graduation ceremony so successful. It was a very emotional and important ceremony for our students, their families and our staff and it was important for everyone's efforts and the role they have played in the lives of our students to be acknowledged and celebrated. I would like to thank the parents of graduates for their heartwarming words of support and encouragement for our staff. We could not do our job well without the support of the school council, our PTA and parents who as always were the key contributors to our school community.
We are proud of our graduates, and we wish them all the best in the future. We hope they will stay connected with us through the alumni website ESF Connect (News and Events).
This week we also welcomed our new teachers during our online induction session. We look forward to welcoming our new colleagues in August 2022.
Dates for your diary:

We are proudly presenting the artwork of our students which was created for the ESF Diversity Exhibition. I am incredibly impressed with all the students' creativity and craftsmanship which are evident in all the superb art pieces on display. Please read on to find out more.
Kind regards,

The students of JCSRS have participated in the ESF wide art exhibition, titled – DIVERSITY.
JCSRS students have been learning about diversity and inclusion in the school and community. 22 talented students have used their creativity, knowledge and skills to create artwork to portray their understanding of diversity in art. With the support of the visual art team at JCSRS: Jackie, Alfert and EuJ, the students have created 18 artistic and impressive art pieces. The students included are:
The students were able to celebrate our school’s diversity and create fabulous pieces of art. Click here to view the final art pieces.

HHYC/Scallywag Foundation Open Dinghy Regatta
Congratulations to Leo Purdie and his fellow sailor Joel Suarez.
On the 21st and 22nd May in very windy conditions they won the 2022 Hebe Haven/Sailability 303 Class Double Handed Hansa Division beating out many competitors.
This result will contribute towards qualifying for the Hansa Asia Pacific championships in Hiroshima, Japan in October 2022 and the World Championships in Gold Coast, Australia in November 2022. It will also assist in supporting the long term goal of having sailing back in the Paralympics in 2028 in Los Angeles with the inclusion of special needs sailors.
Again a great achievement for both themselves and the wider commnity.
Please let us know if your child has received the Covid-19 vaccination, has recovered from Covid or has a medical exemption. Please update your child’s record via the ESF App. Instructions for how to complete this important process are here.
With the relaxation of some of the restrictions for students that have received two doses of the vaccine, for example swimming or participating in outdoor activities without the mask, we want to make sure we have the most up-to-date information.
Your child might be eligible for home vaccination. If eligible, you can register for the free door-to-door Sinovac vaccination service via the Home Vaccination Service website or the enquiry hotline (Tel: 5688 5234).
