Dear all,
As we approach the end of the school year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on all the hard work and dedication that has gone into making this year a success.
Despite the challenges and ongoing changes that we have faced, our staff and students have continued to show resilience, determination, and a strong commitment to learning. I am incredibly proud of our achievements and where we are now as a school community. Our last two weeks of school have once again epitomised the really strong ethos of the school – to ensure that all our students are Happy, Engaged and Learning.
Grateful messages of thanks to all the staff at JCSRS continue to be communicated to the school and, at the end of a very busy year, this feedback is extremely welcome. I want to express my appreciation to all the parents who have taken the time to share their thanks. It truly means a lot to the dedicated staff who have worked tirelessly throughout the year.
To all the staff members who are leaving JCSRS, I want to extend my heartfelt wishes for a successful career and a fulfilling future. Your contributions to the school community will be greatly missed, and we thank you for your dedication and hard work. May your next adventure be filled with happiness, success, and personal growth. Best of luck to you all!
To our two graduates Paolo and Sze Yan, I hope that you find great success in all of your future endeavours and that you will stay in touch.
Finally, I want to express my gratitude to each and every member of our school community - staff, students, parents, and school council - for your hard work, dedication, and support throughout this year. I am honoured to be a part of this community, and I look forward to continuing to work together to help our students be the best they can be.
Thank you, and have a wonderful summer!
Anna
Our final AAC session of the year provided attendees with more practical activities to use at home. Participants planned different functions and activities for familiar core words.
The handout can be found here with copies of vocabulary planners.
Thank you to all those involved in the AAC meetups this year; we will keep you updated with any sessions in the coming years.
The world is rich with diversity, which is reflected in the observances celebrated by its various cultures and populations. We hope that knowledge of the holidays and celebrations for diversity in this calendar can enhance our school's diversity and inclusion efforts.

HHT Awareness Month
June is recognised as Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT) Global Awareness Month, dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding of this rare genetic disorder. HHT can cause abnormal blood vessel formation in various organs, leading to complications such as strokes, aneurysms, and lung and liver problems. Unfortunately, many people with HHT go undiagnosed due to a lack of awareness and understanding of this condition.
To help spread awareness and education about HHT, follow the Instagram page @hht852, which focuses on raising awareness of HHT in Hong Kong. The page shares information about HHT, personal stories from individuals with HHT, and updates on events and initiatives related to this condition. You can also find more information on HTT here.
Additionally, if you or someone you know has been diagnosed with HHT or suspects they may have it, seeking medical attention and receiving proper care is crucial. You can also reach out to HHT852@hotmail.com for more information and support. Together, we can help those affected by HHT and promote greater understanding and awareness of this condition during HHT Global Awareness Month and beyond.
