Dear all,
I would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the parents and staff who attended our recent Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Annual General Meeting. Your presence and participation are highly appreciated and essential to the success of our school.
I would also like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to Megan McCoy for her dedicated service as Chair of the PTA over the last three years. We would like to give a warm welcome to our new parent and teacher representatives who have joined the PTA, as well as those who have been reelected. We are excited to have you on board and are confident that you will bring new ideas and perspectives to the table.
I want to welcome to JCSRS our newly appointed PTA Administrator, Sylvia Wong.
Last week, we said goodbye to Mari Nakamura, who worked at JCSRS for over 19 years. I am sure you will all join me in wishing her all the best in future adventures.
The full renovation of the school, which will start over the summer holiday of 2024, is highly anticipated by us all. Today, we had a visit from Mike Doherty, JCSRS founding Principal. As we were going around the school, he told me about the school's history and its early days. We joked that carpets in some rooms were fitted when the school was moved to the current building. If you would like to find out more about the renovation, please join us for some refreshments and an informal meet-up after the Sports Days.
As we move forward, we are excited about the opportunities this year will bring. Thank you once again for your continued support and involvement.
Happy Mid-Autumn Festival,
Anna
