Dear all,
As we bid farewell to another eventful week, we are delighted that our highly anticipated Sports Days were not spoiled by bad weather this weekend.
I would like to take a moment to express our heartfelt appreciation to the entire JCSRS staff, our remarkable students, and our supportive parents. Together, we have created a memorable series of Sports Days that will be cherished for years to come.
I want to extend a sincere appreciation to our dedicated staff members. Your encouragement and expertise played a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive environment, where every student felt motivated to give their best. In particular, a special mention goes to our PE Teacher, Mike Watson. Mike's meticulous planning, tireless efforts, and unwavering commitment ensured that both Sports Days ran smoothly, providing our students with an unforgettable experience. As always, his enthusiasm, encouragement, and exceptional ability to inspire our students have helped them reach new heights in their athletic endeavours.
Speaking of our incredible students, we could not be prouder of their remarkable achievements and the invaluable life lessons our students have learned through participation. These events not only promote physical fitness and healthy competition but also teach important values such as teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship. We are extremely proud of each and every student who participated, regardless of their placement. Your hard work and dedication inspire us all.
Last but not least, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the parents and guardians who attended the Sports Days. Your presence and support meant the world to our students, and your enthusiastic cheers undoubtedly fueled their determination to excel.
Let's carry this spirit of sportsmanship, collaboration, and dedication forward as we continue to inspire and empower our students to reach new heights in all their endeavours..
Wishing you all a great weekend,
Anna
We shared with the whole school community plans for the full renovation of the school (link to the presentation with the proposed layouts here). We have regular meetings with the ESF project team to finalise the design scheme and plan for phase one of the project, which will start over the summer holiday of 2024. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions or feedback.
Following the flood, we had temporary soft flooring installed in the hall, which will be replaced with a new wooden floor over the December break. As we don’t have an appropriate venue for the Christmas Show, our regular show will be replaced with a Lunar New Year Show (dates to come).
October is AAC awareness month, and we have planned weekly activities for staff and students to celebrate together at JCSRS. Click on these links to see our photos:
