Principal's Message

Dear all,

It was great to see so many parents attending the two Treasure Chest Theatre performances, 'Be You Butterfly'; they were really joyous events. I want to thank our PTA for sponsoring the shows and refreshments for our parents. The support and involvement of our parents in school activities are truly appreciated. I look forward to future events that bring our school community together. Thank you to our speech therapy team and Jade class students for teaching us new Makaton signs: Kind, Beautiful, Best. You can sign and sing along with the Positive Affirmations song from Treasure Chest Theatre!

I would like to add that this time of the year, our teachers and therapists are spending very valuable time meeting with parents to discuss students' strengths, stretches, and aspirations for the year(s) ahead. Our Annual Review meetings are in progress, and as always, chairing these meetings is a privilege that I immensely enjoy. I love hearing about students' achievements and working with parents to support their children's growth and development. Thank you to everyone for your active participation and valuable input during these important meetings.

Thank you for attending the Meet-Up about the school renovation and for sharing your feedback and comments. We understand that many of our students may not tolerate the exposure to noise and dust well. The proposal for a shortened school day from five learning blocks to four lessons at school and one lesson at home was not taken lightly. We are putting it forward as a compromise to minimise the impact of the renovations on the safety, well-being, and learning of students without prolonging the duration of the renovation. I will be taking your feedback to our next planning meeting with the ESF project team. It's crucial for us to address these concerns and establish a clear plan that instils confidence as we move forward. If you missed the Meet-Up about the school renovation, you can view the information about the planned work here.

Warm regards,

Anna

Treasure Chest Theatre

Primary students and their families had a wonderful time at the show today, while the Secondaries had a chance to see the show last Friday. For many students, being able to enjoy a show in a familiar environment makes all the difference. Look out for more class photos in the Yearbook!
