Dear all,
All students had a very positive start to the new academic year and are taking in their stride all the changes at school.
I am pleased to share that our new students are settling in nicely and are already making new friends. It is heartwarming to see how quickly they are adapting to their new environment, and I am confident that they will thrive and flourish in our school community.
I am also excited to inform you that the school renovation is progressing well. Our contractors are working diligently from 1 pm and over the weekends to ensure that the necessary improvements are made to provide our students with a safe and conducive learning environment.
From Monday, we will gain access to a few new spaces and regain access to the playground door. Please read on to find some information regarding the dropping off and picking up of students starting from Monday. We have made some adjustments to ensure a smooth and organised process, and I kindly ask for your cooperation and support in following the revised procedures.
Take note of the upcoming "Meet the Teacher" event, which will be held on Zoom on the 4th of September. This will be an excellent opportunity for all parents to virtually meet your child's class teacher and therapists, and gain insight into the upcoming year's academic and extracurricular activities. We value your participation and hope to see you there.
Just before we returned to school, four JCSRS graduates were recognised for their amazing achievements and were given the ESF Chairman’s Awards. We are incredibly proud of our students, and we know they are an inspiration to others.
Lastly, all parents should have received a notification that nominations are now open for the election of a parent representative to the JCSRS School Council. The School Council is the governing body of the school. The primary purpose of the School Council is to help the school to provide the best possible education for all its students. Please reach out to me if you are interested in volunteering your time and would like to find out more about the role.
I encourage you to read on and stay updated with the latest developments within our school community.
Thank you for your ongoing support, and let's work together to make this academic year a great success for our students.
Warm regards,
Anna
From Monday, our students and staff can enjoy new and renovated spaces. We can’t wait to see their reactions and feedback on these new areas.
As we are regaining access to the playground door, we are updating the procedure for the drop-off and pick-up of students.

On Wednesday, 4th September, at 5 pm, we will host our Meet the Teacher information session for parents. This event will be held virtually via Zoom.
"Meet the Teacher" is an event where you can meet your child's class teacher and therapists. Teachers will provide important information about the class, curriculum, and planned activities. You'll also have the opportunity to ask general questions. However, please note that teachers and therapists will not be able to address any questions about individual students as those are best answered during Parent Teacher Therapist Conferences (PTTC).
PTTCs for new students are planned for the 16th of September, and everyone else will be invited to PTTC meetings on the 11th and 12th of November.
We look forward to connecting with you throughout the year.
The world is rich with diversity, which is reflected in the observances celebrated by its various cultures and populations. We hope that knowledge of the holidays and celebrations for diversity in this calendar can enhance our school's diversity and inclusion efforts.
