Dear all,
I hope everyone had a wonderful half-term break and returned to school feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Upon our return, it was delightful to witness students, staff and parents' excitement and appreciation for the new murals in the reception and cafeteria areas. These vibrant artworks beautifully represent our mission: Everyone Happy, Engaged, and Learning. I encourage you to check out our social media pages to see photos of these enhanced spaces and share in the excitement.
Our students are also having a fantastic time in the new soft play room. This space, designed with our students' needs in mind, has quickly become a favourite spot for fun, relaxation, and imaginative play. It’s wonderful to see the smiles and hear the laughter as students explore and enjoy this new addition to our school.
I'm thrilled to announce that these latest additions mark the completion of the first phase of JCSRS's renovation. This signifies our commitment to putting our vision for a student learning environment into action, one space at a time.
As we reflect on our achievements thus far, it's time for the entire community to come together and celebrate. Watch out for an invitation to a special event, "JCSRS Vision in Action - One Space at a Time," scheduled for 14 November. This will be a momentous occasion that you won't want to miss.
This week, we also had the pleasure of hosting the JCSRS Sports Days for primary and secondary students, which was a resounding success. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Mike, our PE teacher, Natalie, our PE Educational Assistant, and the entire staff team for their outstanding efforts. The events were filled with spirited competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship. I would like to congratulate all the students who participated and showcased their talents.
Let's continue to celebrate our achievements and look forward to the exciting events ahead.
Warm regards,
Anna

Primary Sports Day
Our primary students had an incredible time showcasing their athletic talents on Wednesday during our annual Sports Days. We witnessed students running with determination, staying focused in their lanes, and cheering on their classmates. It was a true display of sportsmanship and school spirit.

We are grateful for the hard work and dedication of our students, as well as the support of our amazing families. Your involvement is crucial to the success of these events and the overall well-being of our school community.
Our friends at Ronald McDonald House Charities Hong Kong have generously donated free participation to any families interested in joining their fundraising orienteering challenge.
Please contact Belinda McLaughlin before Monday, 21st October, if you are interested.
Event details:
The orienteering will be conducted in teams of two to four people, where participants will navigate through various streets and alleys, solving challenges and discovering hidden treasures within the community. Additionally, participants will contribute to creating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) World Records, pledging to build an inclusive and diverse environment for the community.
The world is rich with diversity, which is reflected in the observances celebrated by its various cultures and populations. We hope that knowledge of the holidays and celebrations for diversity in this calendar can enhance our school's diversity and inclusion efforts.
