Dear all,
Happy New Year! As we step into 2025, I am filled with excitement and joy seeing our students return to school with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
Our new term began with our annual Walkathon, a charitable event that reflects our school's spirit of community and engagement. This year, we focused on raising funds for new physical education equipment at JCSRS, specifically two elliptical machines. This cause is important to us and essential for supporting our students' physical development and well-being.
I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated and donated. Your support demonstrates our collective commitment to creating the best possible learning environment for our students. A special thank you to Mike and Natalie for their outstanding organisation of the Walkathon, ensuring the event ran smoothly and was enjoyable for all participants.
The enthusiasm and determination shown by our students during the Walkathon perfectly reflect our mission: Everyone Happy, Everyone Engaged, Everyone Learning. Watching our students walk, support each other, and contribute to a meaningful cause was truly inspiring.
As we move forward into this new term, I look forward to the continued growth, learning, and engagement that define our JCSRS community.
Warm regards,
Anna
What a lovely day we had for our annual Walkathon. Students had such a great time walking and running around Perth Street Sports Ground.
There were a lot of motivated students trying to beat their number of laps from last year. Lap totals ranged from 5 to 21, although that didn’t really matter in the end, as it was all about our community being together. Certainly, everyone was walking with a smile on their face, chatting to a friend, holding the hand of another or catching up on the latest holiday experiences.
Thanks to everyone who assisted with the day and our families who supported the event and their children.
Save the date: Thursday, 13th February, 5 - 6 pm in the JCSRS hall

Fundraising
We are so grateful for your incredible support in the fundraising efforts. We raised HK$10,480 from the Christmas booth and HK$22,330 from the Walkathon for the new gym equipment!
PTA Meeting
The PTA warmly invites you to attend a regular meeting on 22 January (Wed) from 5.30 to 6.30 pm at the school. Online registration will open next week. We would love your feedback on the events in Term 1 and will discuss the PTA’s transition to becoming a charitable association. See you there!
The world is rich with diversity, which is reflected in the observances celebrated by its various cultures and populations. We hope that knowledge of the holidays and celebrations for diversity in this calendar can enhance our school's diversity and inclusion efforts.
