Dear all,
As we reach the midpoint of our Annual Review meetings, I want to express how inspiring it has been to celebrate each student's achievements and collaborate with families on plans for the year ahead.
Over the last two weeks, our leadership team were engaged in powerful learning opportunities to further enhance our practice:
Observable Impact training: strengthening our ability to connect teaching strategies directly to student outcomes through collaborative reflection.
Collaborative & Proactive Solution (CPS) training: embracing Dr Ross Greene's philosophy that "kids do well if they can" through the CPS model, which transforms challenges into opportunities for partnership and problem-solving.
We were also honoured to host last Saturday's ESF Board meeting at our school. This special opportunity allowed Board members to experience firsthand the vibrant learning environment we've created at JCSRS. Hosting on our campus provided meaningful insight into our school's unique character and the thoughtful design of our facilities that support neurodiverse learners.
Mark your calendars for the upcoming Treasure Chest Theatre show, The Jade Rabbit, on the 29th of May! This promises to be a wonderful puppet show, followed by:
An insightful workshop on Neurodiversity at 10.45–11.15 am
Delicious refreshments and community connection at 10.30–11.30 am
Thank you, as always, for your partnership and support for every student to be Happy, Engaged and Learning.
Warm regards,
Anna
The world is rich with diversity, which is reflected in the observances celebrated by its various cultures and populations. We hope that knowledge of the holidays and celebrations for diversity in this calendar can enhance our school's diversity and inclusion efforts.
